The position of the architects from the next ENTERprise studio within the contemporary Austrian architectural scene is quite specific. They cannot be connected with a certain movement, style or discipline. Their work, which moves on the intersection between architecture and art, is exploratory and their design process questions all usual and conventional criteria. They closely cooperate with professionals from different fields and realise technologically and formally significant buildings, like the lakeside swimming pool in Kaltern in South Tyrol or the open-air concert stage in the park of Grafenegg Castle near Vienna. They always start from the context of the place and pay special attention to their users, providing them with as many possibilities as possible. We discussed their projects with the co-founder of next ENTERprise, Marie-Therese Harnoncourt-Fuchs.
